So when I asked the chatbot a simple question—
“What is Agentforce?”
—I expected a clear, authoritative answer.
Instead, the chatbot responded:
“Agentforce is a Salesforce marketplace designed to enhance the capabilities of AI agents. It provides a range of pre-built prompts, actions, topics, and agent templates created by trusted partners.”
That answer is incorrect.
Agentforce is not a marketplace.
It is Salesforce’s autonomous AI agent platform — a core strategic product designed to compete directly with Microsoft Copilot and ServiceNow Now Assist.
That single discrepancy triggered a systematic Internal Representation Assurance audit of Salesforce’s AI assistant.

The chatbot demonstrated a clear pattern:
Stable, long-standing product information → accurate
New strategic AI product information → inaccurate
Specifically:

• Product relationships incorrectly explained
This is not hallucination.
It is a training data recency gap.
The chatbot’s knowledge base reflects an outdated product structure that existed before Agentforce became Salesforce’s primary AI platform.

The Four Agentforce Representation Failures

This indicates Salesforce has implemented guardrails.
However, those guardrails do not extend to product representation governance.
This creates governance asymmetry:
